So yesterday I was at pre-movie premiere (the premiere of this movie is today, friday, but i was at early premiere, that was yesterday) called ,,Advanced style”. In Lithuanian language it’s called ,,Amžinai Stilingos”. This movie was developed 5 years! How long! It was directed by Lina Plioplyte, a lithuanian woman. ,,Street style photographer Ari Seth Cohen and director Lina Plioplyte dive into the personal lives of New York City’s most fashionable women over 60. In an industry obsessed with youth, these older women dispel conventional ideas about beauty and aging and prove that with age comes grace, confidence, boldness, flair and new, unimagined opportunities for fame and fortune.” The trailer:
,,Advanced Style” was shown at Forum Cinemas Vingis in Vilnius, the movie duration was about 1 hour, and it was perfectly selected time for that kind of documentary movie. I did not get bored at any stage of the film. This movie caught my eye for the main reason – simplicity. A basic older women life and their world outlook on life in fashion is the main idea of the movie. I was fascinated by those older women manners, their outfits, the combination of different layers and patterns. In some ways, it may look a little ,,too much” of colors and different styles integrated into one outfit, but overall these women looked amazing. I loved their attitude, their sense of style. And in my mind I was telling myself: ,,this is how I will look after 50 years” 😀
So overall, I highly recommend to see this movie to everyone. After seeing it, you only have positive minds for the upcoming day 🙂
Never stop dreaming, Amen.
